How does EQL Access OnWeb work?
You upload a copy of your Access database to our servers. We give you a special URL which, when entered into a web browser, will activate that database our servers and run it in a window in your web browser.
How is the performance and responsiveness?
Performance is surprisingly good. Terminal server technology has improved a lot in the last few years. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, you might find it's hard to tell that the application isn't running locally.
Do I have to buy Access licenses and Windows CALs?
No. We handle all necessary licensing fees on our end, and this is included in the price of OnWeb.
Why are OnWeb licenses so much less expensive than Windows Terminal Server?
OnWeb uses Linux servers and VNC rather than Windows Terminal Server, which keeps our costs low.
Does OnWeb work with Geosync?
Yes. You can use EQL Access Geosync to sync your database to EQL Data's servers, and then run the database using OnWeb. When people make changes in OnWeb, you can sync them back to your own copy of Access using Geosync.
Which operating systems and web browsers are supported?
OnWeb works with any web browser that supports the Adobe Flash player, version 10 or higher. This means you can use your Access applications from any platform, including Windows, Mac, or Linux computers.
